Serra SparkSerra Spark

Bought to you by the U.S. Council of Serra International, SPARK is a free online collection of best-practices tools in religious vocations ministry, as curated from parishes, dioceses, and religious orders around North America. It was designed with vocations directors in mind, but Serrans will find that the Serra SPARK website can enhance their ministry as well.

SPARK covers everything from discernment retreat agendas to vocations talks to using social media in vocations promotion. Whether you’re recruiting potential priests, sisters, deacons, nuns, or brothers, SPARK can help. Nearly two dozen vocations ministry tools are featured, including:

  • Vocations Talks for Elementary, Middle and High Schools
  • How to Organize School Visits for Seminarians and Religious
  • Traveling Chalice Program for the Parish
  • Involving the Homebound in the Vocations Effort

... and many more!

Membership Strategies Booklet

In 2016, Serra International Membership Vice President Dr. Ruben Gallegos, of the Serra Club of Harlingen, Texas, USA, put together a Membership Strategies Booklet to address specific membership challenges in our organization. The booklet lists specific membership recruitment approaches from nearly 50 clubs around the world, as well as broad strategies put forth by various national Serra councils. If your club is looking for new ways to refresh your membership with new Serrans, start here.
